What is CSQ funding?

AND HOW CAN IT BENEFIT YOU?

Construction Skills Queensland is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
If you’re considering upskilling in construction, you may be able to receive support from CSQ funding. Where CSQ funding doesn’t cover the full cost of the program, you will be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees.

CSQ funds important courses and training to make it easier for you to update your skills or the skills of your workers.

CSQ Eligibility

To be eligible for CSQ Funding, you must meet the following criteria:

(a) an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
(b) a permanent resident of Australia; or
(c) A Visa holder with relevant permission to work.
AND MUST:
(a) be permanently employed in Queensland.

Please note eligibility requirements below are specific to the qualifications you wish to undertake training in. Contact our team to confirm your eligibility.

  • An Eligible Worker: Permanently employed in Queensland within the Building & Construction Industry
  • Self Employed
  • An unemployed eligible worker (unemployed for a period not greater than (6) months who would otherwise meet the requirements of an Eligible Worker)

The CSQ Short Courses Program provides funding for a range of competencies and skill sets for existing and unemployed workers in the civil construction and building and construction industries who want to update or expand their skills and knowledge in specific areas.

CSQ High Level Skills Qualifications

The CSQ High Level Skill programs provide excellent opportunities for career growth in the building and construction industry, catering to both employed and unemployed Queensland individuals. Access vocational training qualifications at the Certificate IV and Diploma levels.

CSQ Major Projects Program

The Major Projects Training Program provides tailored workforce planning solutions, assistance and access to a range of building and construction training; from short course competencies, through to skill sets and full qualifications to upskill workers and enhance workforce capability.
