Operate Elevating Work Platform (EWP) Course Overview

The Operate Elevating Work Platform course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to operate all size scissor lifts, vertical-lifts, trailer-mounted lifts, and lifts under 11 metres safely and efficiently. This course involves a combination of in-class theory, practical demonstrations, and assessments covering all aspects of operation, including legislation, hazards and risk control, planning, pre-use inspections, and safe operation. Upon completion, participants will receive an EWP ticket confirming their working competency with these elevating work platforms.

Machinery Covered in the EWP Course

This EWP ticket enables participants to operate scissor lifts, vertical-lifts, and trailer-mounted lifts safely. However, for lifts exceeding 11 metres in height, a separate licence is required. The courses we offer focus on machinery under 11 metres, ensuring thorough coverage of working at heights.

Delivery of Training

The EWP training is offered face-to-face and is typically completed within a day, depending on group size and experience. The course can be taken at one of our locations or onsite, provided the necessary elevating equipment is available. For those interested in learning multiple equipment types, a combo course option is available for additional training in one session. Participants who successfully complete this training will be issued a wallet-sized ticket to confirm their competency.
